United States Bank announced a strategic collaboration with digital banking provider Bankjoy, aimed at elevating the online and mobile banking experience for its account holders. This partnership will enable the bank to implement advanced functionalities that meet the evolving expectations of today’s consumers.
Founded in 1922 in Lewistown, Missouri, United States Bank has a long-standing commitment to serving retail and commercial customers across Northeast Missouri. By integrating Bankjoy's advanced digital platforms, the bank seeks to offer a more intuitive and modern banking experience. "United States Bank is thrilled to partner with Bankjoy to enhance our digital banking offerings and provide a more modern digital experience for our valued customers," said Chuck Gnuse, President of United States Bank.
The collaboration includes access to Bankjoy's end-to-end digital banking suite, which encompasses a range of online and mobile banking features, integrated loan applications, and seamless account opening processes. Furthermore, United States Bank will be rolling out Bankjoy’s online account opening (OAO) product, designed to facilitate a quicker onboarding process for new customers, thereby bolstering deposit growth. "With Bankjoy's thoughtfully designed online and mobile banking features, we can continue to provide the exceptional service our bank is known for and keep engaging with our communities, even outside of our branch hours," Gnuse added.
The launch of this digital banking platform is anticipated in Q4 of 2023, integrating directly with United States Bank’s core banking system, SHAZAM’s Cardinal Core. This integration ensures a streamlined experience by connecting with over 120 third-party vendor applications and core banking platforms to create a frictionless digital environment.
Michael Duncan, CEO of Bankjoy, emphasized the importance of meeting consumer expectations in this digital age. He stated, "According to BAI Banking Strategies, consumers across generations would be willing to switch financial institutions for a better online and mobile banking experience, and many are willing to make this switch via digital channels. When opening a deposit account at a bank, 30% of Gen Z consumers opt for mobile and nearly one-in-four millennial and Gen X consumers would use a mobile device. United States Bank is getting ahead of the curve and addressing the digital needs of its customer base. We are thrilled to support the bank on this front."
The initiative underscores a significant shift within the banking sector, as financial institutions adopt more innovative technologies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. By partnering with Bankjoy, United States Bank aims to ensure it remains competitive by providing a banking experience that resonates with modern demands.
As the financial landscape continues to evolve, the success of this partnership will hinge on the seamless integration of technology and customer-focused solutions. United States Bank’s proactive approach not only reflects its dedication to its clients but also positions it for sustained growth in an increasingly digital banking environment.
